Discover the joy of knitting and connect with other in your community in this three-part workshop. By the end of the program, participants will not only have a newfound passion for knitting but also a set of valuable skills and a completed knitted hat. All materials are provided.
In the first class, participants will learn the basics of knitting including the vocabulary of knitting, how to cast on, knit and purl stitch, how to measure and swatch, and how to bind off.
In the second class, we will discuss the structure and process of knitting a hat, how to read a pattern, and begin knitting an original design by the instructor with a unique acorn stitch.
